Sophia Vayansky is an educator and public historian from northern Pennsylvania. She holds a history B.A. with a Public History and Studio Arts Minors from Gettysburg College and an M.A. in public history from Duquesne University. She has worked in museums and parks throughout Pennsylvania and New York, including the Frick Pittsburgh, the Children’s Museum of Science and Technology, Fort Necessity National Battlefield, Appomattox Court House National Historical Park and, most recently, as an interpretive park ranger at Saratoga National Historical Park.

Sophia joined the SNHA team in 2021 as the Columbia Crossing Program Coordinator. Sophia now manages programs at all SNHA sites and provides history, culture, and nature programs for all ages.
