Sophia Vayansky
Columbia Crossing Program Coordinator
Sophia Vayansky is an educator and public historian from northern Pennsylvania. She holds a history B.A. (with public history and studio arts minors) from Gettysburg College and an M.A. in public history from Duquesne University. She has worked in museums and parks throughout Pennsylvania and New York, including the Frick Pittsburgh, the Children’s Museum of Science and Technology, Fort Necessity National Battlefield, Appomattox Court House National Historical Park and, most recently, as an interpretive park ranger at Saratoga National Historical Park.
Sophia is stationed at Columbia Crossing River Trails Center, where she works on history, culture, and nature programs for all ages.
