Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Susquehanna NHA has implemented mitigation plans through a variety of protocols and procedures. Recent CDC recommendations on prevention measures now focus on directing prevention efforts toward protecting people at high risk for severe illness and preventing hospitals and healthcare systems from being overwhelmed.

SNHA has developed the following policies for our visitor centers and educational programs based on the CDC’s recommendations.

The CDC is using its data to classify counties as having Low, Medium, or High COVID-19 Community Levels, and providing recommended prevention steps for each level. SHNA’s masking policies will be implemented in accordance with the COVID-19 Community Levels the CDC assigns to York and Lancaster Counties.
