Susquehanna National Heritage Area shares the stories of the land. One way we share our unique stories is through programs rich in regional culture. Both the Zimmerman Center for Heritage and Columbia Crossing River Trails Center offer programs for visitors and residents alike. Public programs vary by site and take many forms: lectures, programs featuring river wildlife, and special events for youth and families. Check out our Upcoming Events for activities.

River Discovery Boat Tours

Our signature River Discovery Boat Tour program offers a unique on-water experience for visitors and residents alike.

Junior Ranger Programs

SNHA’s Zimmerman Center is an official visitor contact station for the National Park Service. Our Junior Ranger Programs offer families and school groups opportunities to dive into history.

Riverfest

Each summer, SNHA brings together heritage partners on the anniversary of the Civil War event that burned the world’s longest covered bridge for Riverfest!
