Join us for a Management Plan Listening Session!

Tuesday November 9, 6:00-7:30 pm

Monday November 15, 3:30-5:00 pm

Join SNHA President Mark Platts, SNHA Vice President Jonathan Pinkerton, as well as Elizabeth Watson and Peter Benton, principals at Heritage Strategies, LLC, leaders of the management plan’s consulting team, as they explain the National Heritage Area’s planning requirements, the opportunities this new designation of our 20-year-old heritage area now presents, and the role SNHA can play in the years ahead. We need your feedback about the direction and content of the Management Plan.

If you are interested in telling the stories of this nationally important place – newly recognized as America’s 55th National Heritage Area in March of 2019 – and you are working for the protection and public appreciation of the nationally important natural, cultural, historic, scenic, and recreational resources in Lancaster and York Counties: We Need You! If you just know you love this place and want to learn more about programs to support the special qualities and quality of life in Lancaster and York Counties: We Need You!

What are your favorite places, stories, or activities that make Lancaster and York Counties great? If you’re already involved in working to make this place great, how can we all collaborate to lift up your organization’s programs? What are your first priorities? Where do you need help? How can you provide help to others? Please join us to share your ideas with friendly people, sympathetic listeners, visionary planners, stakeholders, and others.
