Shayla Keller is a central Pennsylvania native who is returning to her home area after working at Chincoteague Bay Field Station at Wallops Island, VA. There she spent three years working in and then leading the Adult & Family Education department creating programs focused on coastal ecology and local history partnered with a variety of recreation activities like boating, kayaking, birding, biking, and photography. Shayla has a B.S. in Biology w/concentration in Ecology & Environmental from Shippensburg University and holds a variety of certifications from Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission, American Canoe Association, and American Red Cross that have made her an expert in recreational programming. She will be stationed at Zimmerman Center for Heritage and manage our River Discovery Boat Tours.
