Amy Spangler joined the Susquehanna National Heritage Area team in March of 2026 as the Visitor Services Lead and tour guide at the Zimmerman Center. She spent most of her career teaching third through fifth graders.  Most recently her career has moved towards the hospitality sector as she worked as a Guest Services Associate and Tour Guide at Longwood Gardens.  Amy is delighted to use her passions for exploring, learning, and teaching folks of all ages among the historic Zimmerman Center and Mifflin Farm areas.

Amy is a native Pennsylvanian who grew up in Delaware County and later settled in Chester County with her family. She’s new to the Susquehanna region relocating to be closer to grandchildren. She is enjoying unpacking many new clues to the history and cultures of this area.  She’s delighted to join the SNHA team.
